How we check our facts
Magical London is a desk-researched independent guide. Important claims are checked against the organisation responsible for them, and a source link sits beside the decision whenever practical.
The method
Transport claims begin with TfL or the rail operator; venue and ticket claims begin with the venue or official box office; legal guidance begins with a public authority. A marketplace can describe its own product, but it cannot overrule the attraction it sells.
A source is useful only for what it actually supports. An official visitor page can establish an address, opening policy or shuttle. It cannot prove that an unrelated alley appeared in a film. Location pages link the exact source used for the screen relationship.
Tickets, performance formats, seasonal events, transport and marketplace products carry check dates. The linked provider always controls live price, availability, access and terms, so readers are asked to recheck before paying or travelling.
Route order, time budgets, suggested pairings and “good fit” advice are the publication’s planning judgement. They combine sourced facts but are not promises from TfL, a venue or a tour company.
Filming locations
A screen-location claim needs a named, reviewable source. Official studio, rights-holder, public-authority and tourism sources are preferred. Named independent research may be used when it is the clearest available account; if a precise pin remains doubtful, the page says so once in plain English.
Story settings, fan-favourite alleys, production-design venues and the Palace Theatre can all be enjoyable, but they are labelled for what they are. The site does not convert resemblance or repetition on other websites into filming fact. Each location also explains its real visitor context: public street, working station, market, residence, diplomatic building or ticketed venue.
Walking times and route sequences are planning estimates assembled from mapped geography and official transport information. They are not live journey predictions or on-street access audits. Check TfL’s live journey planner for the day and the relevant venue for current entrance and access arrangements.
Current planning updates
These dated notes point to the responsible source. They are planning alerts, not a promise of live monitoring.
The official shop page lists 4 November 2026 for the opening of the two-floor flagship at The Ribbon, 134–140 Oxford Street. It remains a forthcoming retail destination, not a visited attraction.
What to do: Use the opening date for forward planning, but recheck hours, access arrangements and any queue system before making a special journey.
