Editorial accountability

The evidence behind the itinerary.

Magical London separates source-backed facts, practical editorial judgment and fan association. This is the working record: what was checked, what remains uncertain and what changed.

Current facts that can change a booking

These are not generic news posts. Each item has a practical consequence and a direct source.

Time-sensitive

Cursed Child changes format this autumn

The official London production lists the final two-part performance for 20 September 2026 and the first one-part performance for 9 October 2026.

Action: Check the format on your exact performance before fixing dinner or trains.

Journey fact

The Watford Junction shuttle is included

The official journey page says the shuttle takes about 15 minutes, runs at least every 30 minutes from 09:20 and is included with Studio Tour entry.

Action: Keep your booking confirmation ready and still allow disruption time.

Method

How a claim earns its label

1. Start with the owner

Venue, transport, legal and ticket claims begin with the organisation responsible for the service. Aggregators are not used to override a primary source.

2. Match source to claim

A venue page can verify its own shuttle. It cannot prove an unrelated alley was a film set. Citations are attached where their scope is useful.

3. State the gap

When only secondary corroboration exists—or no filming evidence is found—the record says so. Absence of a source is not converted into certainty.

4. Date volatile material

Opening times, performance formats, transport and marketplace terms are checked states, not permanent promises. Visitors are directed to the live source.

Coverage states

Six labels, not a fake completeness percentage

The label describes the evidence available—not how confidently a progress bar happens to glow.

Primary-source verified
A current official venue, public authority or rights-holder page directly supports the claim.
Authoritative secondary
An official tourism body or local authority supports the location claim, but it is not a production record.
Independent secondary
A named specialist source provides corroboration. The page says when this is the best available evidence.
Editorial synthesis
A route, time budget or recommendation is the publication’s practical interpretation of sourced facts, not an official promise.
Fan association
The stop is worth considering for atmosphere or fandom, but the guide does not claim it was filmed there.
Marketplace — recheck
The provider controls the product. Duration, meeting point, price, access and cancellation terms must be checked for the selected date.

Revision ledger

Corrections and material changes

Evidence and accessibility rebuild

Added claim-level location sources, source register, coverage states, shared navigation, site search, RSS, native comparison tables, larger functional type and explicit interpretive-art labels.

Studio journey clarified

Made explicit that the official Watford Junction shuttle is included with Studio Tour entry; updated the central review date and linked the claim directly to the venue’s journey page.

Cursed Child transition surfaced

Promoted the official two-part/one-part transition dates from buried guide context to a dated planning alert.

Tour shortlist tightened

Removed two older product URLs that resolved only to generic marketplace pages. The remaining 12 rows keep a visible check date and defer live terms to the provider.

Corrections record

No separately logged published factual correction predates this ledger. Future material corrections will state the old claim, the replacement and the date here.

Known limitations

What this publication cannot promise

  • This is desk research, not a production archive or an access audit of every location.
  • Tour marketplace products can change after their listing is checked; the provider page and booking voucher control.
  • Live disruption, lift status, fares, opening hours, queues, weather and crowding require a same-day check.
  • Generated editorial illustrations are atmosphere, not documentary photographs or navigational maps.
  • The site is independent and has no access to unpublished studio, theatre or rights-holder records.

Visual credits

What the pictures are—and are not

The Tower Bridge hero, Studio journey, walking-route montage and 404 owl are original generative-image outputs made for this publication. They are labelled on the page as fan-created illustration and must not be reused as documentary photographs or geographic evidence.

The bridge-and-star logo is an original site mark. Route diagrams are editorial schematics. The interactive street map uses OpenStreetMap data and displays its contributor attribution alongside the map.
